Tightening the screws for maintenance
The screws that connect both leg pipes and the screws that connect the seat frame with the armrests will get loose over time due to vibrations. To prevent breakage and improve safety, it is important to check them periodically and tighten when necessary.

Repairs and replacing hardware
The screw and nut at the leg intersection have come off.
The bolts, washers, and nuts that hold both legs together are designed in a way that prevents them from coming off.
In the event they do come off, please refer to the below instructions to reassemble them; if any of the elements is damaged or missing, refrain from using the chair until repaired for your safety. You can purchase replacement parts in our online store. If you have any doubts or questions, please get in touch with us using the contact form.
How to install:
- Leg mounting parts
- Necessary tools (please prepare them by yourself)
Assembly procedure
- Install the parts in the following order, starting from the outside of the leg: screw head ⇒ leg ⇒ washer ⇒ leg ⇒ washer ⇒ nut.
2. Hold the nut with a spanner and tighten it with a hexagonal wrench.
3. Tighten the nut until you can see the tip of the screw. (You can check if the screw surface is slightly sticking out of the nut with your finger.)
Check if the screws and nuts are tight and if the legs open and close smoothly.
The black resin cap on the tip of the pipe is scratched and damaged.
The string on the back of the chair has come off.
If the string comes off, reattach it using the following instructions.
How to tie the hook string (for Nychair X and Nychair X Rocking)
1. Place the middle part of the string diagonally on the top side of the left armrest. Thread the ends of the string as indicaten in the picture.
2. Pull both ends in the directions indicated in the picture. Make sure both ends
are of the same length before pulling them.
3. Make a number 6 shape with the right end, and thread the left end according to the arrow. Tighten the string. Avoid leaving any space between the knot and the armrest when tightening.
4. Make additional knot on the remaining ends.
The screw that connects the armrest and the seat pipe broke.
The screws cannot be repaired and need to be replaced. The type of screws we use is unique to Nychair X, so it is not likely to find a replacement in hardware stores. The screws are included in the replacement seat boxes (for Nychair X and Nychair X Rocking; also for Nychair X 80, but it uses different screw type) and can also be purchased separately. Please check if the breakage did not cause any damage to the pipes and armrests that might prevent replacing the screw or cause a safety hazard.
If you need assistance with replacing the screws, please contact us via the contact form.
The chair makes a squeaky sound when I sit in it.
The possible reason might be that the screws connecting the armrests and seat pipes are loose. Inspect them and tighten to resolve the issue.
